A Bespoke Shower Enclosure Designed Around the Architecture
For this luxury residential bathroom, KP Glass & Glazing was commissioned to create a bespoke steel-look shower enclosure that would become an integral part of the room’s architectural design.
The brief called for a sophisticated enclosure with the visual character of traditional steel glazing, while maintaining the refined appearance and functionality expected within a contemporary luxury bathroom.
The finished installation combines slimline framed detailing with reeded privacy glass, creating a distinctive architectural feature while allowing natural light to filter through the enclosure.
The Design Challenge
The shower area was positioned within a carefully detailed bathroom featuring extensive marble finishes, traditional cornicing and a strong architectural symmetry. Rather than treating the shower enclosure as a separate bathroom element, the design needed to work seamlessly with the surrounding architecture.
Particular attention was therefore required to:
- Follow the existing structure and dimensions precisely
- Create clean, symmetrical sight lines
- Complement the marble-clad walls and surrounds
- Introduce privacy without making the space feel enclosed
- Achieve the appearance of traditional steel glazing

Our Solution
KP Glass & Glazing designed and installed a fully bespoke steel-look shower enclosure, manufactured to suit the exact opening and surrounding architectural details.
The slimline framing creates a strong grid pattern across the enclosure, giving the installation its distinctive steel-window aesthetic.
Reeded textured glass was selected to provide privacy while maintaining a sense of light and openness. The vertical texture also complements the linear geometry of the framing, creating a cohesive visual language throughout the installation.
The enclosure was carefully integrated into the surrounding marblework, with the framing and glass following the proportions of the existing space.
