Bespoke Glazing in Kingston & Richmond

Kingston and Richmond sit alongside each other on the south-west reach of the Thames, and between them they cover a wide range of property types — from the larger Victorian and Edwardian houses in Richmond Hill and Ham, to the riverside apartments along the Kingston waterfront, to the period terraces that fill out much of Richmond town. The glazing requirements across these areas reflect that variety, and we’ve worked across both postcodes regularly over the past twenty years.

Our Ealing office keeps us well-placed for KT1, KT2 and TW9 – surveys and installations across the area are straightforward to arrange, and we can usually be with you within a few days of an enquiry. We carry out our own surveys, fabrication and installations, so there’s one team to deal with from start to finish.

Frameless Shower Enclosures

Richmond in particular has a significant number of larger properties — on the Hill, in Kew and in Ham — where the bathrooms are genuinely spacious and worth investing in properly. A frameless shower enclosure made to the exact dimensions of the room is a reliable solution: it keeps the space feeling open, works well against most tile and stone finishes, and requires very little maintenance over time.

We survey every job ourselves, produce our own fabrication drawings, and carry out the installation with our own fitters. The measurements are taken accurately, the glass is made to fit the specific opening, and any complications that arise on the day are dealt with by people who know the job from the start. All glass is toughened to UK safety standards, and fixings are selected for durability throughout.

Steel-Look Shower Enclosures

Steel-Look shower screens have become increasingly common in the more considered refurbishments across Richmond and Kingston — particularly in the larger Victorian and Edwardian properties where the slim, powder-coated black frames work comfortably alongside original features, and in the newer riverside apartments where the strong geometric profile adds structure to otherwise minimal interiors.

Our screens use narrow-section profiles glazed with toughened clear or reeded glass, made to the measurements taken on site. For projects being coordinated with an architect, interior designer or contractor, we’re straightforward to work with — accurate on lead times, reliable on delivery, and available for short-notice site visits when something needs to be confirmed.

Glass Balustrades

Glass balustrades are a practical and increasingly popular upgrade across Richmond and Kingston — particularly on the staircases of period houses where timber balustrades have dated, and on the terraces and garden levels that are a feature of many properties along the river and on Richmond Hill. On a staircase, the effect is transformative: clear glass changes how light moves through the building and gives a hallway a very different quality.

We install channel-fixed and post-mounted systems across both postcodes, with toughened or laminated glass specified to match the structural requirements of the application. External work uses marine-grade stainless fixings throughout. All measurements are confirmed on site before fabrication begins, and installation is carried out by our own team.

Why Kingston & Richmond clients use KP Glass

Richmond and Kew contain a number of conservation areas and listed properties, and some external glazing work in these locations will require consent before proceeding. We’re familiar with the process and can advise early on what’s likely to need approval and what typically falls outside of it — which helps avoid delays once a project is underway.

We’ve been working in South West and West London for over twenty years, and Kingston and Richmond are areas we cover regularly. Our Ealing office keeps us well-placed for both, and we can usually arrange a survey within a few days of an enquiry. We don’t use subcontractors — the same team handles the survey, the fabrication and the installation, which produces a more reliable and consistent result from start to finish.

We work with homeowners directly and alongside architects, interior designers and building contractors. The service and standard of work are the same in every case.
