Bespoke Glazing in Chelsea

Chelsea’s Victorian terraces, garden flats and mews conversions need glazing that’s carefully finished and properly installed. We’ve been working across SW3 and the surrounding postcodes for over twenty years — so we know the planning sensitivities, the finishes clients here expect, and the considerate approach needed in tightly-packed residential streets.

Whether you’re a homeowner sorting out a bathroom, a developer fitting out an apartment, or an interior designer needing glazing for a client, we offer the same: good work, clear advice, and an installation that doesn’t need revisiting.

Not sure what you need? We're easy to get hold of.

Send us a few photos and a rough description — we’ll come back with honest advice and a no-obligation quote, usually within 48 hours.

Frameless Shower Enclosures

A well-made frameless shower enclosure is one of those things that simply disappears into a bathroom — no chunky frames, no bulky channels, just a clean plane of glass that makes the space feel larger and easier to live with. We make each one to measure, working from your exact dimensions so the fit is precise and the finish sits flush with tiles and walls without a visible gap or a bead of excess sealant.

The glass is toughened to UK safety standards throughout, and we use discreet, solid fixings — nothing that will corrode or work loose over time. Most of the frameless enclosures we fit in Chelsea are for en-suite bathrooms in period conversions, where the existing space is awkward and an off-the-shelf screen simply won’t do. We’ll come out, take proper measurements, and give you a price based on exactly what’s needed.

Crittall Shower Enclosures

Crittall-style shower enclosures have become one of the more popular choices in Chelsea over the past few years, and it’s easy to understand why. The slim black steel-look frames work well in period bathrooms and in more contemporary interiors alike — they add a certain structure and definition that a fully frameless enclosure doesn’t, without the bulk of a traditional framed shower.

Our Crittall-style screens are made using slim-section profiles in a powder-coated matt black finish, glazed with toughened clear or reeded glass depending on what suits the space. They’re particularly suited to walk-in shower areas where the enclosure becomes something of a feature — visible from the rest of the bathroom and worth looking at. As with all our work, everything is made to the measurements of your actual space, not approximated from a standard size.

Glass Balustrades

Glass balustrades are one of the more practical ways to open up a staircase or terrace without losing the sense of enclosure you need from a railing. In Chelsea’s Victorian and Edwardian houses — where staircases are often a prominent feature of the entrance hall — replacing heavy timber or iron balustrades with clear glass panels can make a significant difference to how much light moves through the property.

We install both channel-fixed and post-mounted systems, using toughened or laminated glass as the specification requires. Structural calculations are carried out as part of the process, and where properties fall within conservation areas or listed building consent is needed, we can advise on what’s likely to be acceptable. Balustrades for external terraces and Juliet balconies are finished to withstand weathering — the fittings and fixings are stainless steel throughout, not just surface-treated.

Why Chelsea clients use KP Glass

Chelsea is one of London’s more demanding areas for specialist trades. Grade II listed buildings, conservation area rules, detailed interior design briefs — these are the norm rather than the exception. We’ve navigated them many times and know what’s expected.

Our London office in Ealing puts us within easy reach of SW3 and all nearby postcodes — SW1, SW6, SW10, W8, W11. We do our own site surveys, our own fabrication, and our own installations. There are no subcontractors involved.

We work regularly with interior designers, architects and main contractors on Chelsea projects — and we’re equally happy dealing directly with homeowners who just want a sensible conversation and a straight quote.
